Plans E, F, and G
Students who plan to seek employment at the B.S. level are advised to take an emphasis in a particular subject by selecting specific emphasis courses from the physics major (see plan A ). Students must fulfill all general and departmental requirements in addition to those required by the emphasis, and the physics research for a chosen emphasis (PHYS 4683 ) should be carried out in the area of the emphasis. At the completion of the emphasis, the student will be given a certificate of completion.
Requirement
This program is available in only a very few select universities in the nation and is designed for students who desire to work in modern industry or government and who are interested in computer modeling of scientific and engineering problems. In this plan, students must follow the guidelines of Plan A, but must also include the following courses as part of the major:
