GRMN 4230 - Kafka and the Kafkaesque in Literature and Film (3 /0/. 3)
Prerequisite: GRMN 2002 This course offers in introduction to Kafka’s life and work and examines his influence on 20th century thought and art. In the process we will both broaden and personalize our understandings of ‘kafkaesque’, that most fashionable of adjectives. Discussion, papers and readings will be in German. Students may not receive credit for GRMN 4230 and the XIDS course of the same title.
