The M.S. in Applied Computer Science degree is a professional program, requiring 36 hours of graduate study, that provides individuals holding an undergraduate degree in any discipline the knowledge and skills needed to pursue a career in the exciting and dynamic field of computer science and information technology. The program focuses on computer science fundamentals and the craft and practice of software design and development.
Students may enter the program during the fall semester only. The program requires 6 credit hours per semester, to include summers, and may be completed in 24 months. All instruction and course work is delivered completely online via the Internet using a variety of distance learning technologies. Students are expected to have basic knowledge and proficiency in using computers. Students will be expected to have reliable Internet access and their own personal computer capable of running a variety of software tools used in the program.
