International Business Certificate

The certificate requires the completion of three international based courses (12 credit hours). It can be earned by completing six credit hours of courses in residence relevant to international studies and three credit hours in a non-domestic location.

Requirements:


  • Completion of 6 hours of earned university foreign language credit or a foreign language waiver.
  • Completion of 12 hours of upper division approved “International Business Courses”. Approved courses include: ECON 3425, ECON 4450, ECON 4455, ECON 4470; FINC 4521; MKTG 4866; MGNT 3627, MGNT 4625. No more than two courses may be taken from any functional area. Upper division business courses taken as part of an approved study abroad program will be considered approved “International Business Courses”. Other courses must be approved by the Assistant dean of the Richards College of Business or the Chair of the Department of Economics.
  • At least one course (3 hours) of certificate coursework must be taken as part of a study abroad program.
  • Completion of certificate requirements will be noted on the student’s transcript.
