K-5 Mathematics Endorsement

The K-5 Mathematics Endorsement program is designed to strengthen and advance mathematics content knowledge, provide professional growth, and promote changes in practice that impact student achievement. To be eligible for the program, an individual must hold a level four (4) or higher renewable professional certificate in one or more of the following fields: Early Childhood Education; Middle Grades Math; or Special Education General Curriculum/Early Childhood Education; or any of the following fields combined with a core academic content concentration in mathematics: Special Education General Curriculum; Special Education Adapted Curriculum; Behavior Disorders; Learning Disabilities; Deaf Education; Physical and Health Disabilities; Visual Impairment; or Gifted; and have a minimum of one year of teaching experience. With this endorsement, individuals teaching mathematics in grades K-5 will be eligible to earn salary incentives when funded by the General Assembly.
