Courses

Though all the course descriptions in the catalog follow the same basic pattern, a number of variables determine the specific information contained in each. The following examples contain labels to illustrate how to read a course description:

Course Prefix ENGL Course Number 1102 Course Title English Composition II Lecture Hours 3 Lab Hours 0 Credit Hours 3 Conditions to be net before taking the course. Prerequisite: ENGL 1101 Course Description A composition course that develops writing skills beyond the levels of proficiency required by ENGL 1101, that emphasizes interpretation and evaluation, and that incorporates a variety of more advance description research methods. Requirements met by the course. Required in Core Area A. Additional Stipulations. Must be completed with a grade of C or higher.
